`US military shipments and its satellites have been burned, are being burned and will be burned by the Russian armed forces,` Russian Ambassador to the US Anatoly Antonov stated in an interview with Russian media.

Commenting on the new military aid bill signed by US President Joe Biden, including arms shipments to Ukraine, Ambassador Antonov said that US aid will `not save` Ukraine.

`The new weapon will be destroyed and the goals of the special military operation will be achieved,` the Russian diplomat emphasized.

`America chose to support the war… For the benefit of its military-industrial sector, the US government sacrificed the lives of civilians,` Mr. Antonov added.

The Russian diplomat accused the US of destroying Ukraine, a country that Washington `uses as an attack against Russia`, by deciding to continue shipping weapons to Kiev.

`Fundamentally, the (US) administration has violated its own obligations under the Charter of the United Nations, which, along with other member states of the Security Council, bear special responsibility for peace and security.

`The Russian people are completely united around President Vladimir Putin, our army and navy. The people understand that our goals are just. All the goals of the special military operation will

The Pentagon has announced details of a new aid package for Ukraine including 155mm and 105mm artillery shells, as well as 60mm mortar shells, ammunition for HIMARS series multi-purpose rocket launchers, shoulder-mounted anti-tank launchers and weapon ammunition.

The package also provides air defense capabilities, specifically shoulder-fired Stinger missiles, ship-launched RIM-7 Sea Sparrow air defense missiles and air-launched AIM-9M Sidewinder air defense missiles.

Ukraine is set to receive an unspecified number of Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, Humvees and mine-resistant armored personnel carriers (MRAPs).

A senior US official revealed that Washington has secretly issued ATACMS to Ukraine since March. This is a line of weapons that can attack targets at a distance of up to 460km.

The aid package is said to also include weapons and ammunition in preparation for the West providing F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine such as high-precision aerial ammunition and airport support equipment.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba praised the US decision to approve an aid package worth nearly $61 billion, but warned this would not be enough to make a difference on the battlefield.

`No shipment can stop Russia. What can stop Russia is a united front across Ukraine and all of Ukraine’s partners,` Mr. Kuleba said.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov also stated that the weapons and ammunition provided to Kiev by the US and its allies will not change the `dynamics on the front line`, where Russian forces have made significant progress.
